The Castle Square Apartments in Boston, Massachusetts was originally built in 1960 and planned to undergo a deep-energy that includes the building shell as the first step. A 36% energy reduction is predicted from implementing a highly insulated envelope, which contemplates an R-40 super insulated shell, with R-5 high-efficient windows
