Whole window replacement / renovation (including new frame)
DESCRIPTION Eastern Village Cohousing is an adaptive reuse of an abandoned 4-story office building originally constructed in the 1950s in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. The complex consists of 56 residential units plus 14,000 sq.ft. of common spaces. The facade retrofit was funded by a grant by the Montgomery County. The building includes a front facade with a sunshade system. Wall insulation was added as part of the retrofit, and new windows use low-emissivity glazing for an improved building envelope.
