Whole window replacement / renovation (including new frame)
DESCRIPTION The New York County Family Court is a courthouse in New York, USA. Built in 1969, the building was suffering of failure of stone cladding. In 2006 the building underwent a selective replacement consisting in a whole window replacement (1-inch thick) and an over-clad of existing concrete shear wall. The new cladding is an aluminum frame unitized curtain wall system capable of supporting stone, glass, and metal panels equally. Cladding materials hang from this rigid frame. Granite is the primary cladding material in walls.
